After updating to PSE 7 the Adobe Photo Downloader for Photoshop Elements 7 does not automatically appear when you insert your media card to download your pictures. I'm using Vista 64 bit.

Did you check your settings in the PSE 7 Organizer under Edit>Preferences> to enable the auto downloader to launch whenever a memory card is detected?

Does the Vista dialog giving you file handling program options to deal with the media card pop up when you insert the media card? If so is Adobe Photo Downloader one of the choices?

As Jeff indicated, in PSE 7, the downloader will appear as one of the choices in the Windows Autoplay window that pops up when you insert a card or connect a camera. However, the Adobe Photoshop Downloader won't appear as one of the choices on Vista 64 (or Windows 7 64-bit, I think):

You'll have to invoke the downloader manually, using File > Get Photos And Videos, or use the Windows Live Photo Gallery downloader, which works well (Windows Live Photo Gallery is the updated version you need to download from Microsoft, not the one built into Vista).

Also have checked preferences and enable the auto downloader to launch whenever a memory card is detected? But it did not make a difference.
