I installed PSE8 on my IMac with the Leopard OS and I shoot in RAW. I previously had PSE6 but didn't uninstall it prior to loading PSE8. Now when I open my RAW photos and edit them, there is no button when I am done and want to go into PSE8 unless I open it directly. Is this because I didn't uninstall PSE6 or is that how it was designed to work?
Here is an example of what the Raw Editor looked like in PSE6, it had an "Open Image" button which then took me into PSE but I don't have that button on PSE8 and was wondering if I did something wrong when I installed the new version.

That is how it is designed to work. However, if you browse for your photos in Bridge and right-click or control-click them and choose Open with Camera Raw, you will get the full PS version of the raw converter, which lets you save there in various image formats without opening.

If you mean you just want to save your settings, there is no button because there is no need--pse will remember what you did without the added step of saving.

Thanks Barbara but I don't think I explained myself clearly. Say, I open a picture in the CS4 Raw Editor and do my editing but then I want to do further editing, like Photo Merge. I can't go from the CS4 Raw Editor to PSE8 like I could with PSE6 - where there was a button "Open". I have to go directly to PSE8 and open it.
Hope I clarified myself.:(
