Elements questions about Text typing

Hi,

I hope someone here is able to help me out because i have never had this problem before in elements.

I am making an invitation an invitation and while i was typing the text i must of hit a setting where any text that i type just looks like dot matrix. (Changing the text style doesn't help either) I have tried to reset the tools and all settings but i continue to have the same problem. I have turned the anti-aliasing on and it helps but it makes the text blurry. I have tried copying in the text which is what i think got me into trouble in the first place.

Does anyone know how i could get back to smooth text?

Could you have accidentally changed the font???:)

I actually have switched the fonts to make sure this is not the problem. Even when i change the font type it will still look like a dot-matrix look.

I have attached an example of what it looks like. If you will notice it is not a smooth finish like normal typing.

Nayiby, did you try resetting the Elements preferences?
Launch Elements while holding down the cmd+shft+option, when prompted to reset preference click ok.

One thing to rule out - are you viewing at 100% zoom? Sometimes things look funny when resampled for screen display.
