I have searched this site and others and even went to the help on PSE8 trying to find how to re size the horizontal mask type tool after you have typed the word into the red area on a picture. When you move it to a location on the picture it starts the marching ants and you cannot re size it. Any help will be appreciated.

Shelton,

As long as you still see the rubylith (the red/pink overlay) you should be able to select your text by click/dragging with your mouse, or by other typical text-selection methods, and change the font size on the Options bar.

You're right - moving the text commits the text to a selection, which is not alterable in native PSE.

Byron, thanks so much. I tried everything to re size it and nothing worked. Do you have a tutorial on creating a picture with the words at the bottom looking as if they are cut with the picture in them?

Shelton,

Do you subscribe to the newsletter? If so, look in the Jan/Feb 2009 issue for the tutorial about Word Frames.

The mind is a super computer. This 70 year old man remembered how to do the word frame. Thanks for y'all's help.
