View Full Version : Any "outlet stores" for Elements 6 for Mac?

I've checked my usual retail online stores, and they either don't stock Elements 6, or want the same price as the new version, which seems a bit out of line to me.

Anyone have ideas on where to find a legal Elements 6 at a reasonable price?

By the way...the nearest store that does anything Mac is 80 miles from my home.

Have you tried an internet search for the product.
The shipping would be worth not having to drive 160 miles.

Hi ...

Usually you can pick up older versions at online auctions ... but do make sure that the version is a legal one :)

Byard Pidgeon, one other thought.
Make sure it's not OEM which can only be installed on the computer it came bundled with.

These days, the odds of finding a legit copy on someplace like ebay are very, very, low, unfortunately.

I do find it very strange when I see older versions of software sitting next to newer versions and the price is the same. Why wouldn't sellers want to get rid of the old stock by discounting it?

I would be very leery of buying software through auction sites - unless it's a legit store selling off it's older inventory.

I've downloaded Graphic Converter X, which will run on the Intel and the G4, solving the RAW access problem...and, best of all...let's me continue to use full PS7 on both machines.
This is shareware well worth the price. Thanks to my son, Matt, who's been using GCX for a while, with great results.

Try Amazon but look near the end of the list for Older Software. It is the same but they will list it down there for about $60

You could also try Mac Mall. They often have good deals on older items.

I had trouble finding PSE6 for mac, so I bought a Bamboo Tablet at Best Buy for $89.00 because it was a great deal. It came with PSE6 and other software, plus a cool tablet. It also came with PSE6 for Windows.

Nice combo for a very good price.:)
