PSE 8 or Aperture for new iMac?

I am on the verge of moving from a Windows WP world to the new iMac.
I have been using PSElements 3, 5, and 6. I could get the new PSE 8 or change and get Aperature.
I would appreciate any comments that users have in comparing these two applications.

It really depends on what you use Elements for .. what sort of things do you do with it??

I haven't gone to aperture for the same reason still haven't gone to full photoshop: I'm really cheap and have gotten pretty proficient at coming up with work arounds with PSE.
