Will Essentials 2 work with PSE 8? I have it working in PSE 6, but can't figure out how to get it to PSE 8. Any ideas?

That same question (http://support.ononesoftware.com/forums/index.php?topic=1422.0) has been posted to the OnOne support forums since October 3, without any response from OnOne.... maybe they don't know!

You might want to look at Essentials 3 which has just come out - as a replacement for 2 - which was getting sort of old in computer terms. And with 8 being totally intel only - there might be some differences.

Hi Carol,

I read this at their website (http://www.ononesoftware.com/detail.php?prodLine_id=11):

I sent an email to OnOne and they said Essentials was not compatible with PSE8, but they sent me a coupon for $20 off on Essentials 3.

Sepiana,

It seems that your familiar with Essentials 3 and I been told that I could use it to extract images from a picture to copy into another picture, what I could not figured from their web page is how to leave the figure and remove all its background

Essentials 3 is just about finished, and it is compatible with E8. Adobe changed a couple of things in the interface with this round of Elements, and E8 was designed to take advantage of it.

It should be available next month; I'm pretty excited about the new "Make it Cool" module, which incorporates a lot of the PhotoTools plug-in for Photoshop, but there are a bunch of other enhancements as well.

Have you looked at the videos on the Web site for Essentials? They're pretty good at showing how to use the Cut it Out module.

You can access the tutorials from within Essentials, but they're also up online, here:

I'm trying to see if we can get a 'lite' version for subscribers - it really is a pretty neat add-on.

Rick can you tell us more about this? Thanks :)

The company that owns onOne was also the company that purchased P.E.T. from the Kelby Group. PhotoOne - our company - is independently run (by me), however.
