Well,
I have been using PSE 4 and PE 2 for some time now and I am extremely satisfied with them. They work great and I love the functionality they provide at such a low cost (especially when compared to the full blown Photoshop). Anyways, neither of these wonderful peaces of software is detecting my DVD and CD burners when it comes to the functionality that uses them. This is quite disconcerting but alas I know it isn’t necessarily all adobe’s fault. The reason I know this is because I am actually running Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. The OS is much better then the regular version of XP but unfortunately we all know that being an early adopter has both its benefits and its disadvantages, this being a disadvantage in this case. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knows any work around for the issue or possibly some settings that I could configure to force the adobe apps to output the content to a disk image (ISO file) on the hard drive for burning using a compatible burning suite or use an external burning application (such as Nero). Either way, I just thought id mention my problems and share my experiences with others.

Singed,
Slice

P.S. I was wondering if there was any way to change the date format in “adobe photo downloader”? The application by default uses 2005-12-31….. However I have been using a different date naming convention for years and I don’t want to have to go and change all of them to match the new as my current naming convention is 12-31-05….. Is there any way to change this setting in the downloader or am I stuck changing it to “new name” and imputing the folder name manually.

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

I tried to find a list of cd and dvd drives compatible with PSE on the Adobe site, but couldn't . Is this Adobe knowledge base document any help..?

Hi Mike ...

They did one for PSE3 but I haven't seen one for PSE4.

The PSE3 one is here ... the dynamic link doesn't work but the PDF is OK.
