I have a tut for all the tools up and right now I am a bit to tired to proof read them but tomorrow is another day. I do hope to have my tuts up for my alignment tools by Tuesday but who knows?

For now I am off to sip some ice wine and cuddle with my young bride, watch a sicky sweet romantic movie and greet the new year
Happy New year to all ...
see you next year!

Hi,Grant! I just downloaded your tools and alignments for my collage class for PSE 3.I may have goofed when I installed them. When I put in the destination,I typed Previews instead of Preview. They went into the effects folder anyway, but didn't show up when I opened PSE 3.Do I have to reinstall, and if so,do I remove the first batch, and if so,how? Thanks!
Also,can I load them into PSE 4,and if so,how?
Update-I read the rest of the instructions, but have a question-which cache do I delete?I have an old one from before installing the PET extras in August, and a new one.I assume it's the newest one that gets emptied, but I want to be sure. When I put in the extras,I thought I had emptied the original cache, but it's still there (must be the old one)The Extras work,so I guess I did it right.
Please advise (anyone?)

Did you manage to figure it out?
It is best to go to this URL and follow the instructions to the letter:

Hi,Grant-just a couple of questions.Do I delete just the newest effects cache,or both old and new?I have an older cache file from when I installed the PET Extras in August, marked "cache_old".Does it go,too?
Also, can I install your tools in PSE 4?

"cache_old" should have no effect on how yours system behaves as it is just a back up file. The Alignment tools will work in PSE4 and only six of Grant's Tools will work in PSE4. This is an Adobe thing not one of my doing.

Thanks,Grant! That worked fine. Now I have to find out how to use them. The course I'm taking is "Collages and Composites" with Sara Froelich.Which tools do work in PSE 4?
I'll check out your tuts on the tools, etc.

Thanks,Wendy!I'll pass that along to Sara, although she probably already knows.I'm also getting the Richard Lynch book and CD-Hidden Powers of PSE 3.He told Sara not to put them into PSE 4,as he's working on an update for that.
Do you know if the PET extras work in PSE 4?I have them in 3,but would like to use them in 4-I've got so used to using it,that I would rather work there.I know that there are curves in the extras-do they work in 4?Thanks for your help!

Alice ...
I don't know if the PET ones do work in PSE4.
Both Grant's tools and the PET Extras access the tools that are within Elements so try out Grant's tools and you will see that they look just the same as the PET ones :) So no need to worry about having to learn new ones ...

Grant, Anyone,
I'm trying to install the tools into 4.0--I have printed out Grants' instructions by I am not able to "match" the file structure.
Any help or tips appreciated.
I am aware that some tools work & some don't-not a problem.
