Sorry if this in the wrong place! I am at the end of my tether with Internet Explorer:mad:
Is Firefox any better and if so how do I get rid of IE and replace it with this please?
Sue:)

I use Firefox -- same reason. IE was just too frustrating.
You don't "get rid of" IE, you just make Firefox the default browser. Sometimes IE can be useful, but I seldom use it.

I've been using Firefox for some years now and find it better in that it's more controlable re: privacy, and it appears faster. There are also some neat add-ons, such as Adblock Plus which can remove some annoying ads on some sites.
Go for it - easy to install and easy to use.

Sue, I find Firefox very stable.
You should always keep more than one browser.
If a web site seems not to be working properly you can access it whit the other browser to check it.

Sue,
I also use Firefox and love it. If you ever need to do any Windows updating on your computer, you will be told by the website you have to use IE. Do not un-install Internet Explorer.

I have used Firefox for many years and love it. On rare occasions I have to use IE. Very stable and I have had no problems.

I use Microsoft Outlook for my email. Will this work with Firefox?

Hi Sue ...
I too use Firefox (Mac Version) its so much better than IE.
From my windows days I seem to remember that Outlook Express is the Mail program and I'm pretty sure that its totally separate from IE.

Sue.....
Outlook Express is a seperate program and not linked to IE. Mozilla (Firefox) also have a similar program called Thunderbird.

I use Firefox almost exclusively, BUT, occasionally it won't let me download something. It happens so seldom that it takes me a few minutes to smack myself on the head and realize that I may need to go over to IE to get what I need.

Well done now that you have taken the first step, take a further one and download Thunderbird to handle your emails, it also runs rings around Outlook Express and is more secure and more readily updated, only thing is both programs are more secure that the windows stuff, but they do demand that you update all windows security updates as soon as they come out so set your computer up to do the auto updates, I.E. can lag behind the security updates but in over 7 years of useage I only recall firefox being late once, and NEVER since that slip up early in the piece!
Hope this helps too!

I do :)
I'm on my eighth incarnation of it now, it's never let me down and it does everything I want it to do.
Mind you, don't take my word for it as I'm only one of a few tens of millions of people in the world using it :D

As a former Netscape user I switched to Firefox and am very happy with it. IE just sits on my PC unused....except when some help program or install uses it by default.
