How To Turn Off Auto Red Eye Fix

Whenever I launch the PhotoShop Elements 4.0 Organizer and get photographs from a file, the program automatically begins auto red eye fix. How on earth do I turn this feature off? I've scoured every menu and searched the Help database with no luck. Help!

A few days ago, someone else reported the same problem. For some reason, on some systems, if your turn it off during one import, it stays off for all subsequent sessions.

I suggested to this user to reset the preferences. Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt immediately after launching Elements, and answer yes to the question. This might help you as well.

I had this problem, but I turned off the red eye in the Adobe Photo Downloader. When the files are first listed and brought into the computer from the card. It has stayed off. I had to turn it off a few times before it got the idea I did to want it on.
