I just came across this forum and I'm impressed with the level of expertise I've seen. I've been using Elements 3.0 for about a year now and have generally been happy with the editor, but the organizer is causing me some grief. I really like the concept of stacks and version sets, but often seems to require more work than necessary. My main requirement is keeping the original and retouched pictures in separate directories for safety and use the version set to associate the two. I searched the forum, but didn't find anything to answer the following questions:
1) Has an easy way of associating previously retouched pictures into a version set been found? I know of the technique of creating a dummy edited file, then replacing that with the actual retouched image, but that seems like a lot of work.
2) I'm trying to move my base original and retouched picture directories (just bought a spacious hard drive and plan to have each in their own partition). For pictures in version sets, while I can move the retouched pictures with the move command, how do I easily move the associated original picture to the new directory without working on each individually?
