Hi,Wendy! Raffy likes to get an early start on the fun-but he never drinks and drives!(And I've hidden his cars keys, anyway.)

Zézette wishes Raffy, as well as everyone around here, a Happy New Year. She won't attend any party, except of course if they're held under the sheets, a desk, or behind a big furniture because she's afraid of anything and everyone these days :D

Merci,Ray! Have you tried her on catnip?

I don't like how she reacts to catnip. She gets into some sort of a trance. I could swear she took drugs (no, not my banana pills!!).
We give her catnip sparingly. Like every 3 months, more or less.

Ray ...
You find that they go through phases of being timid and shy ... but it does wear off :)

We got use to her disappearances... somehow... I also suspect she does this on purpose because she hides just as we leave home and then, of course, we try to find her just to make sure she's not in a closet, locked up for the day...
Joy oh joy!

That could be it! And if there is a lot of unaccustomed company and/or noise, that would be enough to send her into hiding. The holidays can be tough on kitties.Of all our cats, only Tuppy and Raffy have really been "party" cats, and they will come out to see the company only after they're sure no one brought a child or a Rottweiler.(And the child would be the "worst case scenario"-it's harder to escape from a badly behaved kid than a friendly dog.)

Ray ...
Cats are very quick learners ... could be that she doesn't like you going out :)

Wendy,
I think you've hit the catfood can on the head! Our guys always sulk when we go out,but are also glad that they're not going with us.(It's always to the vet's.)
Try bringing her home a little treat,or having one on hand to give her when you come in.She'll start to associate coming home with something good.

Hi,guys! We were at the vet today (Chumley is having major hairball trouble),and found out that the 1st year of a cat's life=15 years, and the second =9,so Raffy is 21.75 years old-he's off the hook!(And so am I-but it's still teatime for the lot of us!)Bonne annee, and Happy 2006 again!

Bonne Année to you, Raffy :D
Sorry to hear about Chumley hairball problems.. Zézette had some, before we started to give the hairball stuff on a regular basis (every other day). Since then, she's enjoyed a great 2 months without any problem!

We've been giving him hairball meds for months on a daily basis, ever since he had a really bad session in the summer, and ended up dehydrated and needing intrarvenous fliuds. We groom him, too. His fur is so fine,if it gets ahead of us,it's hard for him to get rid of it.We're going to have to be more proactive in treating him. He's a lot better this time, but the blasted thing still won't shift. If that thing ever appears,I'm gonna frame it!(But I won't post it-promise!)
