I am using PSE 4 and the organizer in conjunction with my genealogy research. I have hundreds of old photos of ancestors. Along with my normal family photos I have several thousand tagged and dated. My problem is finding a good method for tags for women who get married. Either to always use the maiden name or the married name. Either way I use I am always looking in the wrong place trying to find them. This may seem like a silly question but when you are looking through several hundred names it is not.
Anyway if someone has any ideas I would love to read about it.

It is possible to use multiple tags for the same picture. Perhaps you could use a generic tag like Wives and then a tag for the maiden name and a tag for the married name. So you could search by Wives when you needed all the pictures or a specific name when you needed just one.

I'm new to the whole PSE, but I have been doing genealogy for a few years. I would recommend that you list the ladies with the maddien name. As Grant also pointed out, it wouldn't hurt to have a second tag with their married name.

The problem you encounter with using their married name and not the maddien name comes to light when you have a lady that has mutliple marriages. So the married name can change numerous times, but the maddien name will always stay the same. Hope that helps.

Ward, you are exactly right in your suggested method! I do this also with mine and I haven't lost track of (yet) any family member. We've got so many different families and the organizer does just what the name implies. Multiple tags is a must around my household. I haven't lost one yet doing it like that :)
