PSE 7 for Mac?

I currently use PSE 4 and have been thinking about upgrading to 6.

Is it worth the update or should I just wait for Adobe to come out with PSE 7 for the Mac?

As has been posted in previous responses to this question - there will probably be no PSE7 for Mac. Adobe has recently been skipping the odd numbers for Mac PSE. With current "sales" going on for the full blown photoshop - there are some rumblings out there that Adobe will be coming out with a new full version of Photoshop - in the CS series - and that MAYBE????? there will be a Mac PSE 8???
All speculation at this time.

I am using 6. I would say that most people would agree that upgrading from 4 to 6 is worth it....but - there always is a but :D - you might want to hold off for a little bit to see if a PSE 8 for Mac is coming out. There are others here who seem to have Adobe's usual timeline down as far as new programs coming out. Just my 2cents worth.

When deciding about upgrading from PSE 4 to 6 on the Mac, I believe that the Quick Select Tool was added in PSE 6. This is an enormously valuable tool, making selection much easier than other methods, such as the Magnetic Lasso - whether this alone is enough to warrant the expense of an upgrade is a question but it certainly was a great addition.

I have recently moved from a PC with PSE 7 to a Mac. One of the features of PSE 7 that I find far superior in PSE7 than Mac PSE6 is the photo organiser. Although not an editing function I think bridge is not as good. Does anyone have any view on whether the PC PSE 7 organiser functionality will be in the next release of MAC PSE? Also any thoughts on release date for the next MAC PSE?

Macs don't need an organizer because they come equipped with an excellant feature called iphoto which is both an organizer and library.

agree with you re Iphoto, however Iphoto doesn't deal with RAW does it?

Not sure what you mean by iPhoto doesn't handle RAW ??

Raw files are visible in iPhoto and you can move them into albums etc ... what other things do you want to do with them in iPhoto ??
