stray pixels

I am extracting and I want to make sure I have all stray pixels gone.. how do I check this??? is there a trick to it?? any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Once you get your extracted subject on a layer by itself, with a transparent background, you can add a plain contrasting colored layer beneath it, then zoom in to at least 100%, then you should be able to see any stray pixels. Then delete the extra colored layer when you're done cleaning up the edges.

Apply a simple sharp outer bevel to the image layer (as recommended)by Diana, this shows missed areas. Use a contrasting colour so it will show up.
You can then use eraser to remove unwanted things!
