How do you reinstall an Effect that you accidentally deleted? PC, Vista, PSE6.

Hi Merritt ...
You don't need to reinstall it as it is still there ... you just need to rebuild the database and once you have done that it will be there again :)
Rename the Mediadatabase.db3 to MediadatabaseOLD.db3 it is located at C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\6.0\Locale\ en-US and then restart Elements ... the Mediadatabase.db3 will rebuild but you may have to wait a while for it to do so

Wendy, tried that, but the Effect (Extrude) didn't come back. After I selected Extrude, I hit the Trash Can icon which deleted Extrude. It's no big deal, since I seldom, if ever, use Extrude. I was just wondering whether you could restore it for future reference.

Hi Mseymour!
I have the same problem, I deleted an effect accidentally and I want to restore it. I've found in this forum that I should search for the mediadatabase file and rename it or delete it, I want to try it but I just canīt find that file... I found the en_US folder in a different folder than the one you say in the forums, i've found it on LMresources, but when I access to en_US folder, I just cant find the mediadatabase file, what can I do??
Thanks a lot!!
