I am suddenly getting a problem I have bever had before. When I type, the print overlaps unless I use a leading of about 48 points or greater, I type a line and press enter for a new line, and it overlaps! Any ideas?:(

CEHARRIS3, with my CS2 the leading is carried over from the last setting used. It doesn't automatically change with the point size change.
I would imagine that Elements would work the same way.
I manually change the leading based on the point size I'm using.
Perhaps a PC user will come along and confirm this.
Since I don't have Elements I can't guide you as to access the character adjustments.

I got out a "Dummies" book (the fast "authoratative" source) and realized that PSE5 has an auto-leading setting. Was never aware of this. It sets a leading of about 10 or 20 percent of the font size. I was in manual mode and using a leading less than than the size of the font!!!:D That is why I consult a dummies book!! Because I am a dummy!! Thanks for responding!! Clarke

Thanks, CEHARRIS3. Now I have to see if CS2 has the same auto-leading option, I have it in QuarkXPress, a publishing software.

Set your leading to Auto, that worked for me. Hope it works for you.
