Hello,
Could someone please help me, I am a new user of Photoshop 7. I have looked through this forum and don't see an answer to my problem
I have the background picker stuck on Black foreground and Green background. If I load a photo file it is Green and I can not work out how to change it. If I go to the swatches, they are all Green and so I can not choose white.
This is probably an easy fix, but I have spent hours looking and searching for the answer.
Thanks

Brickdust, try re setting the preferences.
Quit PSE.
I think it's:
While holding down the Control+Alt+Shift keys re start PSE.
When prompted if you want to reset the preferences click OK

Thank you. I have closed it and opened it a couple of times and it seems to be working fine now . If it happens again I will know how to correct it. What I don't understand is how it got like that. Never mind, as long as I can correct it.
Thanks again. Great to know that we have people willing to share and help.

Hi Brickdust ..
... and welcome to the Village :)
Sometimes when Elements does strange things it is simply because the prefs file has become corrupt ... that is something that Elements is prone to. Thankfully there is a quick an easy way to sort it out ...
