I have seen many intelegent forum users refer to OOB in their comments here on the forum.

Example: http://www.elementsvillage.com/gallery/showimage.php?i=11200&c=

Can anyone describe the OOB effect or where to read about it? I have elements 6 (PS6) - can it be used in Elements 6 or not?

A lot of smart people here on this forum thinks it is the "cat's meow" on many photo projects (see example - very cool) so, how about telling us (me) about it and how it's done or direct us to the source so we can put it to use. Maybe there is a tutorial on it (hopefully) but I haven't come across it so far.

We are a curious people. We want to know too! How about it!

Hello JAW , yes you can do it in 6.0. I have 6.0 and have done many of them. If you are a member you can go to the home page and click on the videos. In there type in Border Break out in the search box. In the search there is a video by Dave Cross titled Border Break out dated Aug.26,2005. It is a great tutorial and is fun to do. If you want to view some of mine go to my gallery and on page 3 go to clear sailing #2 and on page 4 check the one called out to lunch. Click on the image below to see one I think is a good one of mine.

Besides the tutorials already provided, Panos have an action that can create the OOB effect as well. It is a free download so you may want to try it out

OOB stands for Out Of Bounds, also known as Border Breakout, and refers to images where the subject seems to come out of the borders or frame of the photo. Here is an example of one that I did last year.
