View Full Version : Keyboard Shortcuts Revisited

I've been searching for a list I can print out all of the keyboard shortcuts but have been unsuccessful at finding one.

Back in June Wendy stated in a post, " Go to the help facility in Elements, find the contents page then scroll down. You should find a list of shortcuts there."

I may be blind (my wife swears I am:rolleyes:) but I can't find the help facility in Elements. When I go to Help, Photoshop Elements Help then "Adobe Help" appears. When I look it up there it tells me I can find a list of them in "Photoshop Elements Help":eek:

Are they purposefully trying to make this hard to find or is this just a continuation of a day where absolutely nothing has gone right?

Is there an easier way to find the list without spending money to by someone's book?

Click on the ? and you should get help topics showing on the left - expand it and the shortcuts are way down the bottom:

I know what he means. I too wanted to print off a list of all of them on paper so I could have it here at the computer. The ones in the ? section of Elements Help are on different pages and such, not easy to have as a quick reference.
Is there a list on-line anywhere that can be printed?

Thanks Tony. It would be nice to get them all into one list somewhere.

Jay Arriach's page has one too. (And a lot of other cool tips.)

Bill,

The problem with his list is that it was made for Elements 1.0. Other than that I totally agree he has a lot of great info on his site.

I have just typed up a list from ? section and have 3 x A5 pages of keyboard shortcuts. Would you like me to post them to this thread?

Karen-

That would be so good. I know other people want them. I'm sure you will get many expressions of love for your work.;) You'll defintely get them from me!

Karen: that would be wonderful - all the lists I've found are for versions 1 or 2 and there are some changes and additions for 3 (and 4).

I'm old enough to remember when Adobe actually put a handy folder with all the shortcuts in with the boxed set along with a good user manual. :(

SO did the keyboard shortcuts ever get published to this board or did Karen get busy with something else? IT would be GREAT!

Actually she probably went to bed! It's the early hours of Friday morning in Australia right now. Wait until she's up and about :)

For anyone who has Photoshop Elements 2, there's a Quick Reference card in PDF format on the CD, at the root (top level folder).

Now... the idea would be to open this document, one page at a time in PSE (if the document permits it) and manuall add the missing shortcut... Keeping the same appearance :)

Sandie I am up now and it is only 0445 on Friday morning. The reason I am up so early is that "Balance" has not finished the Sdyney/Hobart race yet - she has another 35 nautical miles to go. My blood pressure should settle after that!! There has been some rough weather for them and some of the fleet have sustained damage and one yacht had to drop off an injured crewman!!

Following are the shortcuts I typed up:

I did the original in Word using tables on an A5 size. Hope this helps some one.

Linda, line honours went to "Wild Oats XI" in a record time of 1 day 18 hours 40 minutes 10 seconds; the race started Boxing day about 1300 in Sydney (New South Wales) and "Wild Oats XI" was in Hobart on 28th December, virtually before breakfast! The maxi yachts are 30metres/nearly 100ft long whil "Balance is only 35ft long  . "Balance" is 63 in a fleet of 85 and has 61 nautical miles to go now. "Wild Oats XI" actually got line honours, handicap honours as well as the record!!

Thank you so much for those. I will definitely print them and hang next to my monitor. When I do the videos the instructors refer to the shortcuts and they breeze over them so fast I can't keep track. This will be soooo helpful.

Karen, considering the competition, the crew of Balance should be proud of their standing. I'm sure it was really exciting for you, as well. Glad everyone's safe.

karen,
Thank you. This is great. I pasted your list into Word and managed to get it all on one page, then I colored the shortcut abbreviations blue. This is great, I now have a page here at my desk I can refer to. This is very helpful, Thank you:)

Actually it was no problem - I needed it so I can learn the shortcuts. :)
