I read the post below re: Organizer switch to Mac and it answered part of my question/issue.

A couple of months ago I switch from PC with PSE 5 to a Mac with PSE 6. At the time I had no idea that PSE for the mac did not use the same organizer and I thought my catalog would transfer directly.

I have thousands of files for digital scrapbooking, most of which are .pngs, that I tagged to be able to view and compare similar items (blue, ribbon or silver, button).

The last post on the above mentioned thread talked about Lightroom for organizing photos similarly to Organizer for the PC. I priced it at $299 and would like to know more about people's experiences with it before purchasing. Does anyone know if it works with png files as well as jpgs?

Thank you so much for any help. I'm anxious to get back to scrapping!

Hi
Welcome to the Village:)

Have you tried using Adobe Bridge which is part of PSE6 for the Mac. I think that if your tags were written to the file's metadata, Bridge should be able to read them.

Hi Jem ...

... and welcome to the Village :)

I don't keep my Scrapbooking things in iPhoto ... by quite a lot of Mac Scrappers do. ... and you can have a separate library for your scrapbooking items.
