edit save

I have been using my pse 5 for some time now. I have edited my photos and when saved show up in my organizer right next to the original in the organizer. For some reason unknown to me I edited my picture and saved it. It is saved, I can find the file and open it, but it is not in the organizer. Anyone know why???? I am at a standstill because there is no use editing photos that are not there to use. Any help will be appreciated.

File->Catalog->Recover fixes this problem for future edits.

I can't tell you the time I have spent on this!! I really appreciate your help. The answers are often simple, but not if you don't know them!!
Thanks for all your help. Maybe this will help someone else too. Those of us just learning really appreciate you guys.
