Help: iMac printing

I just switched from a PC to an iMac. In general, I really like the Mac.

However, I cannot find how to make all the detailed printing selections that I could on the PC. For example: type of paper, print quality, etc.

On the PC when you selected the Print option it gave you a Preferences button where you could select/change all kinds of parameters.

I can't find anything similar on the Mac. I also looked under the Page Setup option.

Perhaps the problem is that I'm new to the Mac as well as PSE.

Ron, which applications are you using?

Those settings will be available in the next window after you select print in the first window that comes up when printing. It's hidden under the copies and pages drop down.

This one confuses a lot of people (me included) ... last time I needed it I searched around for ages until I remembered where it is hidden :)
