On several occations Iīve got a prompt to update Camera Raw 4.6 but every time it ends with "Canīt fulfil the update. Canīt find Camera Raw."

Still I can open and edit my raw format pics. Whatīs wrong with the update? Or is Adobe trying to fool me?

Can Frank or Wendy enlighten me, please?:D

I have no idea what Frank or Wendy would say.

I say, the update has never worked, probably you should just turn it off.

Umh, how about providing more details.

What software, what operating system.

The Adobe Updates are quirky, but there is always a work-around.

Hi ollewickbom ...

I'm guessing at PSE6 for the Mac ??

Is it Adobe Updater that is giving you the message ?? if so next time you get it click Preferences and then turn off auto update.

You do have to wait until its run the update check before the Preferences Button appears ... you can't turn it off until then.

Your guess is right and now I know what to do, thanks! But, why canīt the updater find Camera Raw? Iīve got it, havenīt I, as I can handle my raw files. I always use raw files.

You got it. I had the same problem with a PC Platform. When Adobe tries to update certain updates automactically it fails. When I turned off the Auto update like Wendy said and I manually go to Adobe's site and if I choose to update RAW ( or some other Adobe Program ) to the next release it will take the update. Somewhere in my PC there are anti-adobe-updates-gremlins floating around.

I did as you did, turned auto update off, went to Adobes update site and got the latest RAW update for PSE 6, downloaded it and manually put the RAW plugin into the right folder. I hope and think I followed the right procedure.

So glad that you now have it sorted out ... and do hope that your Camera Raw works OK :)
