Lightroom 2

I was told to buy LightRoom 2 because Elements 6 (which I am using now) would not be able to move my pics into CS4 (which I plan to buy soon).

I already have my pics organized somewhat in Elements 6 which came with a wacom graphics tablet. Will elements 6 work with CS4 ?

I have PSE6 and CS4, and can report that the two work very well together.

If, by "move my pics into CS4", you mean to select an image in the PSE6 Organizer, and have it open for editing in CS4, you can achieve that simply by updating the Editing preference in Organizer so that you can select from either PSE or CS4 each time you open an image for editing.

However, I do not mean to discourage you from getting LR2! I have it, as well. It is a whole new level of organization, combined with the adjustment capabilities of Adobe Camera Raw, and is very powerful. It is not like Organizer, though, so knowing one does not help with the other.

You could get CS4 and work with it in combination with PSE6. Then, as you progress, you could decide to add LR at any time.
