I'm going away and won't have access to PSE for two weeks. Can I use the Canon Utilities CD that came with my Canon cameras to change my RAW files to jpgs for my dd who cannot wait for me to go back home and sort them out?

Gosh, 2.5 hours and no replies. The Canon software will work just fine. If you want to get fancy, Irfanview (http://irfanview.com/) will also work. There are probably 3 gazillion other programs that will work but I think these two are your best bets. HTH

Lee,

Thanks for your reply. Last month's Photoplus magazine had a a section devoted to using the Canon software (instead of PSE/CS) for all sorts of things and I couldn't remember if converting Raw files was one of them!

I bring mine into Lightroom and when I export it converts them. I'm not what functionality is included in the trial version, but perhaps when you are at DD's you could download a trial version and convert them there? Or you could just shoot in jpg + raw format and download the jpg's for her and you'll still have the raw for yourself.

Karen,

Unfortunately my dSLR doesn't have the ability to shoot in RAW+ JPG, but thanks for the suggestion.
