Cannot save resized photos

Hi,
I have a challenge that just started happening. After resizing my photos from a duplicate copy in jpg,save file, close file then reopen I get a message. "Cannot open wrong kind of file" I know they have been saved as jpg files. I am using explorer 8 and know there have been some compatibilty issues with other programs, is this maybe the case with this. I am using elements 6, vista 32

Dean, check the file name to make sure you didn't delete the period before the jpg, or if there is anything else missing or wrong.

Duh, I deleted the dot when renaming. Boy do I feel dumb. Thanks for the head slap.

Glad you found this problem early on.

I kept saving a photo from St. Lucia - and it just never worked because I named it St. Lucia - that period after St. told Windows I had a file format called "Lucia" :o:o

Wow, it took me forever to figure that one out. :eek:
