I know this is ELEMENTS village but is there anyone here working in CS4?
I am getting it next month and LOVE this board. Would it all still be applicable to CS4?

Hi ...
There are a lot of us here who use different versions of Elements and Photoshop so just ask when you get stuck and one of us will talk you through things.
Usually its just a matter of doing things a different way when you are using Photoshop and its certainly a lot more flexible to use than Elements :)

A very popular forum for Photoshop users is the Retouching forum at DPReview. You might want to check it out as there is always lots of discussion on Photoshop techniques and many experienced PS users hang there. The Village is a great place as well, but most of the people here are not using Photoshop. Another popular Photoshop user site is RetouchPro.
My own opinion is that a lot of Photoshop queries posted here would dilute the main purpose of this forum which is aimed at assisting Elements users.

Thanks! I am working in PSE6 now and still have lots to learn, but I have the opportunity to get CS4. I eventaully want to upgrade to that.

Welcome:
Both Elements and CS4 have steep learning curves. I would suggest you work with Elements until you've mastered at least 50% of what the program can do.
There are many plugin for Elements which will give you the flexibility to do pretty much what CS4 will do.
In the long run, you may not need CS4, that is, unless you wish to convert documents into CMYK.

I have CS4 and use it for most image processing. I only use PSE 7 for a photobook project because it has features for scrapbooking. Have you bumped up against some limitation in PSE that CS4 will allow you to correct?

As Wendy mentioned, there are several of us who use both Elements and some version of Photoshop. I personally use CS4 and PSE7. So, yes, ask away if you do choose to get it!
