HI,
I would like to export a PSD file from Adobe Illustrator and then open it in Elements 5 with all layers preserved. When I do the export from AI, I can select an option to maintain the layers, and for simple layers this works fine. But I found that if there is any transparency in any layers that those layers and some others end up write protected in Elements. (I'm not sure that's the right description - the layer shows a pencil with a line through it indicating I can't edit that layer.)
Can anyone help me with this? Is there something I need to do to the artwork in AI before the export to make this work? If I select "Flatten" during the export it puts everything on one layer in Elements. Do I need to flatten individual items first?
