Wasn't that wonderful news in the email??? I shouldn't be missing any but the very first few....I'm going to go look to see if they are there. Not that anything published then is usable now????

I am glad you started this Judy, because I wanted to say "THANKS!" also. I have them on my flash drive now so that I can peek at them on my laptop at work as well. Plus, now I can keep all of the new issues in vintage condition and never open them LOL.

How large are the files? I am currently using dial-up internet (YUCK!) so I would think I would be downloading them for a very long time. I do hope the economy picks up soon so I can get my high speed internet back!
I really miss the high speed!

Charles, it looks like a single issue is 5 or 6 MB, at least the early ones that i looked at. A better option on dial up than a year at a time.

Ellen,
Thank you for posting and telling me how big the files are. 5-6MB is nothing really compared to the 10-50mb size of the videos from this site I still download each week!
I clicked on the subscribe site and saw the offer expires today so I went ahead and re-subscribed! How do you get access to the PDF files? I got a confirmation email but nothing was said about the files.
I am thinking I will send Rick a PM about this.

...How do you get access to the PDF files?...
Charles,
The email message which inspired Judy's original post contains the link to the PDF files.
As Rick stated in the email -- all subscribers now have access to download PDF copies of past issues of PET magazine. He provided the URL in that email.
If you did not get the email from Rick, I suspect it is because you may not have "Receive Email from Administrators" enabled in your UserCP, in the Edit Options section. (I know, because I used to have it disabled, myself...)

They're pretty big Charles, but if you've gotten the "Best Of P.E.T." DVDs over the past few years, they have the PDFs for the given year on them, so you might already have some.
(We've been giving them out as renewal 'thank yous' for a couple of years now.)
best,
Rick

Es,
You'd be surprised at how many of the old tutorials still hold up, despite using much older versions of Photoshop Elements. (We had actually looked at "redoing" some of the older ones for the magazine and found that, most of them would only need screen shot updates, which seemed kind of silly, given all the other stuff we try to do.)
best,
Rick

Byron,
Thanks, and yes I did get the email. I had looked the email over, but not read it in-depth like I should have! I thought in order to get the PDF files you had to renew the subscription. I had sent Rick a PM, and he also gave me the link to it. I am now starting my dial-up downloads, which will take a spell, but in time I will get them all.
Thank you again Byron (and Rick!) :D

Being on dial-up internet I am having a consistent problem trying to download the PDF files. I am using Mozilla Firefox as my browser and I am only downloading one file at a time but all the files 'end' before I get the full file. For instance the Vol 4 - 2007 file is 107MB but I only got 8.6MB. I have never had this problem downloading the videos from here. I am stumped.
Any ideas?
