Jana... I am not sure what you mean by "bracket shape"?
This {
If that is the case, just type it.

Hi Jana ...
Probably the easiest way to do it is to use a custom shape .. I'm pretty sure I have seen some on Adobe Studio Exchange.
Then you can group the shape with a paper ..

Create a new document.
Make a new layer above the background layer.
Make the new layer any color you want, or place any paper you want on it.
Create another new layer.
Select the type tool and type your bracket/s on the newest layer, sizing them to your preference.
Move the type layer below the colored (paper) layer.
Select the colored paper layer.
Click CTRL G to group it with the bracket/s.

Create a new document & set your foreground color to black.
Select a font with a relatively simple (san serif) style, such as Arial, or a more curvy look with something like Artistik or Century.
Type the bracket key ( { ) 4 times, each on it's own layer.
Move them around until they overlap and form the outline of the shape you want.
In the layers pallet, select all four brackets and merge them.
Use the magic wand (with contiguous checked) to select inside the creation you have made.
Either ALT + backspace or go to Layer> Fill new layer (with any color) to fill in the shape.
If you use the Layer> Fill new layer method, in the layers pallet, throw away the original, merged brackets.
Now you can resize it, merge it with any digital paper, fill it with whatever rings your bell, and even save it as a png file.
Hope this is clear, and what you want.
