Hello,
I’m doing some cleanup work after a problem with the Organizer and raw files. Can someone tell me how to restore selected files from a backup? I only see the option to restore the entire catalog and I have 12K pic.

I see on the backup file that the images are renamed starting with a "B" followed by a sequence number. I was hoping that in the detail properties box it would have the last backup file number or a history of backup file numbers. Is there a better way to restore selected files?

PSE Restore only restores the entire set of photos in your catalog. There is no option to restore only selected files.

Do you know of a way to identify the backup file name associated with the original file?

There is no easy way to find specific files in the PSE backup.

If you really need to use your backup, you would have restore the whole thing, and of course the selected ones will be restored along with all the others. If you have enough disk space, you can have your current catalog and all photos as they exist, and the backup catalog and all photos in a different location on your hard disk. Then, you can find the files of interest in the restored backup set of photos, and import them into your original catalog.
