I have been trying to activate my watched folders in PSE7. When I find the .exe file for it it opens and I can watch folders. It will not open automatically and I have gone into services under admin tools and don't see a adobe service. I have no idea how to make it run automatically. As soon as I close the .exe file it quits working again. Any ideas would be appreciated!!
Thanks Tommyboy!

Tommyboy,
I can't help you bcause I can not get watch folders to work either. It did use to work when I first got 7.0--now when I click on it I get this message:
The watched folders service is unavailable.

The watched folders service is unavailable.
This usually means that for some reason, the service implementing the Watch Folders feature is not running. To fix that:
1. In Windows, Start > Administrative Tools.
2. Click Services.
3. Click on the service named "Adobe Active File Monitor V7" (or V6 or V5, depending on your version of PSE).
4. Right-click and select Properties.
5. Change Startup Type to Automatic.
6. Under Service Status, click Start.
7. Click OK.
From now on, that service should start automatically when your computer starts, and File > Watch Folders should work.

Thanks John, that is what I tried but there is no service there that is listed Adobe Active File Monitor. I can only find that under Program folders>Adobe>Photoshop Elements 7.0>Photoshopelementsfileagent. When I open it there it runs, but still doesnt show under services. Thanks for any help.

Reinstalling PSE with anti-virus disabled should fix that.
