How do I remove electrical wires in an otherwise beautiful Cityscape?

fiftysoon, without seeing it I would suggest the clone tool.
We can give by better suggestions if you posted a copy of the scene.
There are a number of ways to correct errors in photos, but they are dependent on the surrounding areas.

I took a number of photos of the church my nephew was going to get married at and didn't see those darn wires until I opened the photos on the computer.

I had great success cloning the wires out of the photos. I was especially lucky that alot of the cloning was done in trees and leaves are really easy to clone with.

I can't believe I took a couple of dozen photos and didn't notice the wires. :o
