Elements 7.0 backup catalog error while writing disc

When I try to backup my catalog in Elements 7.0 I get an error message that reads "Error encountered while writing disc. Contact your disc drive manufacturer and upgrade to the latest available firmware for your specific disc drive before trying again". I have done this and still have the problem. :(

This drive works fine when I drag and drop images to it or when I burn images using Windows Media Center. I have talked to Sony who insures me that since I am able to drag and drop successfully and burn images using other software, the problem resides within the Adobe software. Is anyone else encountering this problem? Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

In my case I receive the same error after successfully burning 4 of the 6 DVDs my collection requires. I even updated by Sony DVD firmware after I received the error for the first time but the burning process still bombed at exactly the same 5th DVD when I've retried.

I can't use the organizer at all to back up my photos.It only allows me to do a full back up but stops responding when ever I try to do an incremental back up.I tried working with Adobe but no luck. I have given up using the organizer to back up my photos.I'd love to use it but just can't get it to work
