tool trouble

I seem to be locked onto the hand tool no matter what I do.
I'm in elements 7 and I have rebooted several times and changed from edit to organize. Help:(

Have you reset your tools? If not, click on the down arrow at the top of the tool bar.

Check to see if the space bar on the keyboard is stuck down (tap it a few times). Depressing the space bar with any tool active temporarily turns the tool into the hand tool.

Failing that, try restarting Elements with the CTRL, ALT, and SHIFT keys held down, and when prompted, answer yes to deleting settings. That frequently "fixes" things that are stuck.

also, check that there isn't something pressing the spacebar of your keyboard - spacebar is the keyboard shortcut for selecting the hand tool

I asked the question..Maybe I have the answer.

After trying to solve the problem until 3am last night I gave up. This morning I tried to figure it out for about an hour and finally gave up and wrote to the forum. I read where someone suggested to another member that the space bar might be stuck or have something resting on it.
I tapped my space bar a couple times and when I went back to the program, the problem was solved.
I don't know if this is what caused or solved my problem, but now I'm happy.
