I've been using Elements on a PC for years, so switching to Mac (Elements 6) is causing some problems. Specifically, when trying to enter my print preferences (I use an Epson 2200) I can't find a way to specify the paper type. I've downloaded an ICC profile from Epson (for enhanced matte paper), but can find no instructions on what to do with it. I've also confirmed that I am using the latest driver for the 2200. I'm using a new Macmini and OS X Leopard (10.5X).

Any suggestions for a Mac beginner?

Thanks,

jambo2

jambo2:

Go to Edit>Print with preview
Enter whatever setting you want and hit Print.

You will get a Print Menu. In this Print menu choose your printer and in the Layout pull down you will find Quality of Media. Click of this and that's where you find your paper profiles.

The paper profiles for your printer should be on data sheet packed with your photo paper.

Hi jambo2 ..

... and welcome to the Village :)

Must admit that when I first started using Elements I too had a heck of a job finding the print options.

Hi

The Epson profiles can be installed in the following location

Macintosh Hard Drive/Library/ColorSync/Profiles

Profiles installed there will be available to all users.

Hope that helps:)
