....and I got the following error message which I've never seen before:
http://www.pixentral.com/hosted/1K28zRjHPfzBIOPlk3Asr12wdb52T_thumb.jpg (http://www.pixentral.com/show.php?picture=1K28zRjHPfzBIOPlk3Asr12wdb52T)
Then the whole computer crashed.
Do I need to do an uninstall/reinstall?

Bayla, sorry about your problem, but according to the message it seems as though PSE is the cause.
Adobe does not support Elements so no use in calling them.
Are you able to boot up, and do any of your other applications work?
I would say it you can boot and other apps work then re install.
Don't know if it's necessary to uninstall the old.
You should also do a disk repair, if your able to.
Good luck.

Frank,
When I rebooted, there was a blue screen and it ran CHKDSK. I just clicked on the PSE icon and it started up fine! Should I still do a reinstall if everything appears to be working?

If it occurs again (and it may), install the licensing-service update:

Hi Bayla,
Do you have the application.xml in place at C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\AMT folder?
If the file is present and PSE works normally then it should work fine.

Pri,
Have had no problems since I last posted on this thread - just checked and I do have this file (in PSE6). Thanks for replying.
