Action Question [Archive] - Elements Village

I just bought elements 7 and it is very new to me! I can't figure out how to import actions. I know how to download/unzip but that is about it. I hate asking stupid questions, but could someone enilighten me on this?
I have worked in lightroom before and know how to add presets but elements is very foreign and frustrating to me.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

Are you on Vista or XP? (It makes a difference to where you install actions)

It is also important to note that some actiions are written for Photoshop CS and may not run properly, if at all within Elements. Even some actions written for Elements are written for specific versions of Elements.

I was going to suggest Hummie's site too. She's got video tutorials on loading actions for PSE7. Keep in mind, however, that some actions don't work well in the Guided Action Player. So, if you have trouble with them, try loading them in classic mode instead.
