Hello, I have been trying for a few days to get some photos resized to put on craig's list, ebay etc. Can someone help me in lehmans terms how to do this. I have resized them to 2 inches by 3 inches but it says they are too big at 500+kb. What am I doing wrong? I tried to hit save for web and all that showed up was one corner of a pillow. I am sorry if this is repeated question. I did do a search and didn't find anything to help me. I have adobe pse 6 and vista.
Thank You, KayC

Hi Kay
It is resize for web that you need to use ... try this:
Open your image then do File>Save for Web
Now look over to to the bottom left and you will see Zoom ... if you change that then you will be able to see all of your image:)
When the Save for Web dialogue box come up there is a section over on the bottom right hand side where you can change the pixels size (see A) if you tick Constrain Proportions then you only need to change the longest side then just click on Apply. Next take a look at the new size (B) ... if it is still too big then use the quality slider (C) until the size is OK

If you click on the image above then a larger sized one will come up ...
Hope this helps :)

Hi Kay ...
When you use Save for Web you really need to save the small sized image with a new name ... that way you still keep the large sized original.
Now as far as what do you change the pixels to ... if you want it to be 2 inches by 3 inches then change the pixels on the side you want to be 2 inches to 144 ... and see if that works OK :)

another way Kay would be go to image-resize,,then click on image size. click on the unsample box , to clear the check, then enter 72 in the resolution box, reclick resample, then enter the size you want in the document size, or enter 800 in the widest part in the pixel dimension, thart works for web great for me
