Film strip from contact

I am trying to follow Dave's tut and have no problem until I get to filter>distort>wave. I can not make it wave, not even flutter. It just ( my film strip that is) sits there. I went back to his Dec.18, 2008 but I have the same result or should I say, no result. Where have I gone wrong? What did I miss read or didn't understand? His instructions seemed so clear that it has to be something I am missing. So, help! Whoops--"PLEASE" help. My mother just turned over in her grave because I didn't say "please" BillandCat

A few questions.

1) What are your settings for the Wave filter? Have you tried playing with them at high levels to see if it works?

2) Are you selecting the right layer? Is your strip selected?

No matter what I try, nothing happens.This is what I have. Well- that didn't work. I tried to send a screen shot but!!! Thanks a lot but I am just going to forget it for now. It was just something to learn so I'll pick it up when I have less to do. Thanks again--Bill
