I am wondering if there is anyway to justify your journaling in PSE7. I see the right justify and the center and the left justify....but I want it evenly spaced across. Any ideas and help would be greatly appreciated.

To get the text to justify, it needs to be selected/highlighted and in Windows it is Ctrl+Shift+J (Command+Shift+J on a Mac)
Forgot to add that the text has to be in a text box - you need to draw out your text box first, then place the text in it (if there's a lot of text I prefer to type it in Word and then copy and paste into PSE)

Hi ...
As far as I am aware there isn't a way in Elements is justify both the right and left edges of the text ...
As a workaround ... why not set it to one of the options and then manually adjust it by adding extra spaces :)

Glad it worked. I originally learnt this tip in a Jessica Sprague class a couple of years ago.

Hi Bayla ...
When I do that I can still only justify left, right or centre ?? ... I still can't make it evenly spaced across the text box ??

Wendy,
This has nothing to do with the left align, centre and right align boxes at the top. You first draw out a text box, put your text into it, then place your cursor in the text box, Ctrl-A to select all the text, Shift+Ctrl+J will then justify the text. It does work, I promise!
Here I drew two text boxes and filled them with the same text but only did Shift+Ctrl+J on the second one:

It also helps if each line of text is almost the same length - which can be a problem if your last line is only two words long.
I suggest adjusting your text box until you see all the lines approximately the same length. To adjust the text line word length - highlight the text first - then using the bounding box/move tool - pull or push at the right side so the words change lines.
If you do not highlight the text first, adjusting the size of your text box, will change the font size instead of the words shifting lines.

Hi Bayla ...
Oh that is so neat !! ...
I'm now busy trying to work out what the shortcut actually does in order to do this.
Thanks very much for sharing it :)

OK ...
I cracked it :)
Try doing your text box, then highlight the text.
Hold down Control, Shift R (it will align the text to the Right)
Hold down Control, Shift L (it will align the text to the Left)
Hold down Control, Shift C (it will align the text centrally)
and
Holding down Control, Shift J justifies the text :)
Its a photoshop shortcut that also work in Elements even though Elements isn't supposed to be able to do it :)

Wendy,
Thanks. I knew it was a so called 'hidden' keyboard shortcut, but not having Photoshop I didn't know about the others. Useful to know!

Hold down Control, Shift I (changes text to Italic)
Hold down Control, Shift U (underlines text)
