this is my firt attempt to use this format. i have pse 3 and would like to make a slide show of my photos. from reading these post it seems pse 3 is not that good for completing this kind of project and premier elements does a better job. yet almost everthing i read premier is primarly for video. my first question is , is it worth buying premier just for slide shows.
second questions what is the best way to get help with the many questions i have about pse and premier?

Hi there Marv & welcome
Do you already have Premier Elements? If not and you're not sure whether to get it then first read this link which you may find answers the first question.

And in answer to your second question, just post any queries you have and at least one person is bound to turn up with a helpful answer! Or you can do a search & often find someone has posed the same question in the past.

If you want, you can try out Premiere Elements to see what the quality is. Here is a link--scroll down the page to click on the Premiere Elements

Other links have touted Pro Show Gold as a very good slide show program. As I don't make slide shows, I can't make any recommendations one way or the other.

Hi,
Just think of still images of a frame of video instead of a bunch of moving frames. I always use a video editing program with still images:) There is alot more freedom for creativity in my opinion. With a program such as PRE (Premiere Elements) you can make you project as simple or as complicated as you like. Let us know if you have any questions, everyone is very helpful here on the forums :)

Cd's burners aren't picky any CDR's you can pick up at any discount store will work. I use CDR's not CDRW's I just use those for disposable data not projects:)

Unfortunately some older DVD burners and players are picky though... There are two formats of recordable and re-recordable DVDs: DVD- and DVD+
DVD- was the first format and was supported by Pioneer , Panasonic, Sony, Apple & Compaq. Some older drives and players may only read DVD-.
DVD+ is a newer format initially promoted by Philips, Sony, & HP.
Most DVD burners and players made since 2003 are multi-format and therefore support both DVD- and DVD+, but it worth checking the age and make of burners and players if you intend to burn a DVD.
