I have several good pictures of my wife and myself separately, but do not seem to have any of us together. Is there a way using Elements 7 to "merge" two pictures together so it shows the two of us together in one picture.
I am using Windows XP and have Photoshop Elements 7.
Thanks

Hi Gary ..

Probably the easiest way is to select one of you ... just use any of the sections tools to do that.
Once you are happy with the selection do Edit>Copy

Open up the other photo
... and do Edit>Paste.

You can then use the Move Tool to resize and move it around the image.

Hi Gary,

Some time ago, I posted instructions how I completed a project like you want to do. Here's the link:

http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30767

This was originally written for PSE3, then updated for PSE5, and then in Post #11 a modification of the "drag up from photo bin" step was added. In PSE6 & 7 Dragging a photo up from the photo bin to the project in the workspace now creates a smart object, which will probably confuse you. So read Post #11 for instructions to do the opposite, drag the photo from the workspace down to the project file in the project bin.

By the way, if you don't already have Grant's tools, or another add-on Layer Mask, you'll need a Layer Mask for these instructions.

Here's a link where you can download a version of Grant's Tools provided by Tony to use with PSE7's Action Player under Guided Edit, which is a much easier installation:
http://www.elementsvillage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=411115&postcount=13

Tony also gives the folder where to put the downloaded (unzipped) file and how to use it in Action Player.

If you need any more help, let us know.

Diana
