I want to purchase some filters and can't decide between the two.
I would be getting either Topaz Simplify and Adjust or Onone Essentials 2.
Any suggestions?

Well the Topaz plug-ins are for dramatically altering your images and creating "special effects" where Essentials has plug-ins that add frames, resize the images, help you extract objects, and improve the overall appearance of image. They are quite different toolsets, so what is it that most interests you?
Have you downloaded and played around with the trial versions yet? Whichever ones you found "most" useful for your intended purpose is probably the one(s) to go with.
I got Essentials free with my copy of Elements 6 from Costco years ago, the only thing I use is the Frame module.
I purchased both Adjust and Simplify, the special effects come in handy for some projects.
All are good choices and quality products for Elements users.
