don't know if I'm asking this in the right place and don't mind me if I am! Do you know if the AppleCare Protection plan covers accidental damage, from personal experance? This isn't really Elements related, but can't find the answer anywhere:rolleyes:

mattswife8821, not sure if it does cover accidental damage, but you can call them at 1 800 275-2273. Be prepared to give your serial number.
If you don't presently own a mac then ask for sales or customer support.

Apple is very customer-centric, especially for AppleCare customers - I've seen them replace computers, fix cracked screens from dropped Macs and iPods, and do lots more. I think they draw the line if they think you've been abusive, but they generally are pretty loose with repairs under warranty.

I know that, when I've had problems with Macs, they've been repaired or replaced promptly.

The other thing that's nice is that you don't have to buy AppleCare when you by your Mac - you can do it any time up until a year after you buy it, and you can even do it all online.

I tend to do this on new Macs - wait a while, then buy AppleCare. It's definitely worth it to me.

Technically, no. It's a warranty, not an insurance policy. But as Rick said, they are very generous in their interpretations sometimes.

It's well worth the money. You do have one year to buy it, but only 90 days for tech support. So, if you have any questions/problems, it's $50.00 per call.

I have it on both my macs. Apple Support is GREAT. I was calling them daily when I made the switch from a pc. They are number 1 in tech support.

Take care,
