Photoshop CS4 Extended

Presently, I have CS3 and am considering and am considering CS4 Extended. If I install CS4 Extended on my computer, will it override CS3? I definitely do not want to lose plug ins, etc. that I have in CS3 until, at least, I learn how to use CS4 Extended. Comments?

Currently I have PSE3 , CS2, and CS4 all installed and happily residing
with each other. No conflicts. I do not have extended but there should not be any difference.... Tom :D
