As some of you know, my other hobby is wood carving. I have completed one for my daughter. It can be hung on the wall or it can very easily mounted on a framed board to be displayed. It is carved out of Basswood and the backboard is birch, lightly stained, and framed in cedar. Check it out. BillandCat

Wow that is really neat. How much time did it take you to finish that? Your daughter will be so proud of that .

Bill, that is beautiful! When I first saw the image in your gallery, I had no idea that you carved it yourself. You are an artist of many talents.

Awesome work!
Do you belong to any Woodcarving Group? There is a Wood Carvers Association right near us that I think goes out to the East Coast Areas and not to just stay Local. I've seen some of the Work before and they are very high class. I'd think you would fit right in to there skill.
Between my juggling of Carpentry/Woodworking/Photography skills I've never had the opportunity to learn these techniques that you've acquired. I do admire your work, very nicely done and showing off the contrast between the wood textures and grain does so very uhmmm duh its late I'm tired and I can't think of anything that describes it so nicely.... LOL
