I have a photo that I got off of google images. I have edited it and created what friends tell me is a pretty neat photo. I wondered if it would be proper to post it in the gallery being as I didn't photograph the original.

If so, how do I go about it

Stevenm,

That depends -- if the owner of the image has explicitly given away rights to allow the creation of derivative works, then you're probably not treading on any copyrighted toes.

Of course, I am not a lawyer, so none of my advice is legal advice.

My thoughts on this are the same as Byron ... it really depends on the copyright of the original image.

Hi Steven,
I got this info from Google FAQ.

Are there any copyright restrictions associated with the images?
